Embrace the beauty of seasonal garden flowers

Welcome to our little farm nestled on the edge of Cornwall's stunning Lizard Peninsula.  Spanning just six acres, the farm is a mixture of cut flower gardens, orchard, foliage grove, wildflower meadow and native woodland.

We grow with organic practices, following the natural cycle of the seasons.  We don't use heated glass houses to force our flowers, which is why our flowers are only available between April and September.

Our English country garden flowers are nothing like the stiff, imported blooms you'd find on the high-street or supermarket.  They're in tune with the seasons, full of the movement and naturalness.

We're proud to provide flowers for Cornish weddings.  We also open our gates for a few days each year for our wonderful workshops and seasonal events.

Hello! I'm Gemma

Mellangoose Farm Flowers has grown from my personal love of growing, gathering and arranging flowers from the garden.  I find it brings a connection to nature's rhythm that's hard to find in todays busy world.

I've been a gardener my whole life. Growing up on a three acre organic market garden near Truro, I spent my childhood in potting sheds and greenhouses, eating fruit and vegetables picked straight from the garden. It gave me a deep connection with seasonal produce that's stayed with me always.

When we bought the farm in 2017, it had been neglected for a number of years.  We spent the first few years clearing overgrowth and creating the structure of what would become the garden. We wanted a space that worked in unison with the natural landscape, embracing seasonality.

I created the cut flower garden back in 2021. What was first just a small series of annual beds, has slowly transformed into a diverse mixture of perennials, annuals, shrubs and trees.

It's the garden that guides me with my floristry work.  I take inspiration from the colours and textures within the garden to create bouquets and arrangements. It gives my work a very naturalistic look.
