Grow Your Own Cut Flowers

Have you ever wanted to grow your own cut flowers to fill your home or wedding?  This is the workshop for you!  Autumn is the time we start preparing and growing for the following year, planting bulbs, ordering dahlias, sowing perenials and our hardy annual seeds.  It's also a great time to prepare the soil ready for the year ahead. 

During your time with us we'll take a tour of the farms cutting garden in all its late summer glory and discuss the types of flowers suitable for cutting.  We'll discuss how we grow them, from propigation right through to harvest and share the lessons we've learned over the years! We'll then get hands on with the flowers, showing you how we cut the flowers, discuss conditioning them, tips for arranging them and how we ensure maximum vase life.  

At the end of the workshop you'll have the opportunity to cut a bucket of flowers for you to take home and enjoy.
